We did the Shadows of Savannah tour on a whim after dinner and it completely made our trip. The audio narration felt like having a local historian in your ear. We stopped whenever we wanted, doubled back to a cemetery we loved, and finished around midnight. No tour group, no rushing. Just us and the city.

I travel solo and I hate feeling locked into a group's pace. This was perfect. Downloaded the tour before I left the hotel, popped in my earbuds, and just wandered. The GPS cues were spot-on and the stories at each stop were genuinely fascinating, not the watered-down stuff you get on big group tours.

Took my kids (ages 9 and 12) on the St. Augustine tour and they were completely hooked. They kept asking to hear the next stop. My husband and I are big history buffs and we've done a lot of guided tours. This blew most of them out of the water. The narration on the City of Secrets tour referenced primary sources I'd never heard before, and I've read three books on Savannah. Saved it to replay on the walk back. Worth every penny.

Honestly I almost skipped this because I figured a self-guided thing couldn't be that good. I was wrong. The audio quality is crisp, the pacing between stops is comfortable, and the storytelling keeps you wanting to keep walking. Did the River Street tour at dusk and it was genuinely atmospheric. Already recommended it to my coworkers.
