Share what you know.
Get paid for it.

You know your city better than any guidebook ever could. Turn that local knowledge into a self-guided audio tour — and earn money every time someone takes it.

60%
Goes to you

Every time someone books your tour, 60% of the sale goes directly to you. No hidden deductions, no complicated tiers.

40%
Platform fee

We handle the platform, payments, and customer experience so you can focus entirely on making a great tour.

How it works
1

Apply to become a creator

Fill out a short application telling us about yourself and the tour you have in mind. We review every application personally and you'll hear back by email.

2

Build your tour

Once approved, you get access to our tour builder. Add up to 15 stops, pin each one on a map, upload your audio narration, and add a photo and transcript. You control the story.

3

Submit for review

When your tour is ready, submit it and we'll review everything before it goes live. If we have notes or suggestions, we'll send them your way so you can make adjustments.

4

Get paid

Every booking puts 60% of the sale in your pocket. The more people enjoy your tour, the more you earn.

What you'll need

  • A free account on Destination Footsteps
  • A planned walking route with at least 2 stops (up to 15)
  • An audio recording for each stop — MP3 or M4A format
  • A photo for each stop
  • A written transcript of your narration for each stop
What makes a great tour?

The best tours share one thing — a creator who genuinely loves the subject.

🎯

A clear theme

Haunted history, hidden architecture, local food culture, literary landmarks — pick a focus and stick with it. Specific beats general every time.

🎙️

Audio that feels human

Narration that sounds like a conversation with a knowledgeable friend lands better than a formal lecture. You don't need a studio — a quiet room and a phone do the job.

📍

Stops worth stopping for

Each stop should have something to look at, a story to tell, or both. If there's nothing to say about a location, it probably doesn't belong on the route.

Details travelers can't Google

The real value of a local guide is insider knowledge. The legend, the backstory, the thing everyone walks past without knowing what it is.
